Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description
Villa Ypenhof is a contemporary family residence in Rotterdam, designed by architect VillaNova and realized with contractor Van der Windt. The family's ambition was clear: a home that simply works — effortless comfort, complete peace of mind, and a single intuitive interface for daily life.
Through KNX and Basalte Home, Villa Elektra delivered the seamless integration of lighting, climate, air-conditioning, multiroom audio, sun shading, fireplace, sauna, swimming pool, security, access control and cameras. The residents control everything from a centrally placed iPad and the Basalte Home app, at home or remotely.
What makes this residence stand out is the intelligence working quietly in the background: arrival and departure activate context-aware scenes, the wellness zone awakens at a single touch, and a water leak detector instantly shuts off the main valve, sounds an audio alert and notifies the family. Selected by Basalte as an international reference project.
