Detailed Description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description

Health City One was designed to complement the adjacent Mater Hospital as part of the 'Health City' precinct. The project comprises of the Quest Apartment Hotel - a 5 storey building containing 18 serviced apartments for Multiple Sclerosis Queensland and a 8-storey building containing specialist medical suits. The assisted living suits contained a high degree of automation using a KNX building control system to enable occupants to open doors, operate hoists, manipulate beds and operate electrical equipment using a tablet device. The work included complete building automation comprising control of lighting, blinds, air conditioning, fans, audio/visual, intercom, CCTV, and access control. A central monitoring system for staff with a commitment to energy efficiency was provided, along side building automation was sync for the 82 Quest apartments. The KNX solution ensured the complex was future proof and provides ease and comfort to the residents.
