Customers Description
A comprehensive KNX home automation system was deployed across a two-storey private villa including rooftop and outdoor landscape in Palm Hills Compound, 6th of October City, Cairo, Egypt. The installation integrates 82 switching channels, one DALI dimming line, 23 motorised shutters, underfloor heating via KNX valve drive controllers, and split-unit AC managed through IR interfaces. Security is covered by five Yale smart locks and an intercom system, both KNX-integrated. Users interact via 16 wall keypads, 13 Schneider SpaceLogic 4-inch touch panels, EAE smart panels, and an Akubela 10-inch HyPanel, complemented by a 3D iPad application on a Home Assistant server. Four KNX motion sensors automate scenes by occupancy, schedule, or manual recall. Five manufacturers — Schneider Electric, EAE, GVS, Akubela, and Yale — contribute KNX-certified products, demonstrating genuine multi-vendor interoperability.
