Customers Description

KNX Energy Intelligence Gateway is a predictive energy-management project for a KNX installation with photovoltaic generation, home battery storage and electric-vehicle charging. A local edge gateway reads KNX/IP group addresses, analyses PV power, battery state of charge, grid exchange, home consumption and energy tariffs, and combines them with weather-based PV forecasts. The system calculates the best charging windows for the EV, shows when charging can be free using PV and the home battery, protects a minimum battery reserve and sends charging recommendations back to KNX. The web interface visualises today’s and tomorrow’s PV production, battery forecast, real measurements and charging scenarios, helping the user maximise self-consumption, reduce grid energy and lower charging costs.
