Detailed Description

Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Innovation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Customers Description

The new $104.6 million dollar mental health facility is a 3-storey 64-bed facility providing a contemporary environment for best practice mental health care and assessment, recovery, and rehabilitation services. This project required complex topology where the whole hospital is equipped with HCL (Human Centric Lighting) and DT8 light fittings to emulate the day light temperature. A sensory room was built which is equipped with specific light colour changing sequences (RG) to assist with the relaxation and mental comfort of the patients. KNX lighting was integrated with the patient monitoring system to detect patient’s movements. Thinknx Envision Touch panels were implemented at staff stations to check the status of a patient and to control the lights of rooms as required.
