Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description
One control layer for everything — the staff's push-buttons, the scenes, and the schedules all live on the KNX bus. DALI only handles dimming; KNX decides what happens and when. That's why a single button press can reconfigure all 22 groups at once.
Scenes and schedules that survive anything — scene logic sits in the gateway/actuators, not in a cloud or a phone app. No internet, no server, and the restaurant still runs its lunch/evening/closing scenes.
Local control that never gets locked out — KNX push-buttons work independently of any central controller. If a visualisation or gateway app is down, staff still switch and dim from the wall.
Extension without rewiring — adding presence/lux sensors for constant lighting, or later climate, shading, audio, alarm integration, is just more devices on the same bus. The DALI groups become inputs to bigger building scenes.
Diagnostics surfaced where people are — DALI lamp/ballast failure reports pass through the gateway onto KNX
