Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description

This project explores how far real integration can go in a residential KNX installation. The result is a home where lighting, HVAC, security, access control, blinds, and video surveillance operate not as separate systems, but as one unified organism — coordinated by a Thinknx server. What sets this project apart is a core design principle: no device was used below its real capacity. Every KNX component was configured to its full potential, proving that mid-range equipment, properly integrated, can deliver results typically associated with premium setups. Notable integrations include a bidirectional Viessmann boiler connection via custom API, Apple HomeKit and Siri voice control, GPS-triggered scenarios, presence simulation, and a custom garage solution with real-time state feedback. The conclusion is clear: in a KNX system, value comes from design and configuration — not from the acquisition budget.
