The Foundation deals with the organization and conduct of two-year courses for higher technicians. Eckener-Schule is a public vocational education centre in Flensburg, northern Germany. We offer two programmes relevant to KNX: the Berufsschule track for apprentice electricians within the German dual education system, and the Fachschule für Technik track leading to the Techniker degree, Germany's state qualification for senior technicians (bachelor professional), with specialisations in Electrical Engineering and Building System Engineering. KNX is taught across both curricula: students plan, commission and troubleshoot installations in our dedicated training lab using ETS and devices from leading manufacturers. Graduates move into installation, design and system integration roles in residential and commercial building automation projects across Schleswig-Holstein and the wider region.
