JUNG LS TOUCH Function Update 2.0

More features, more comfort – the second major function update significantly extends the capabilities of the LS TOUCH room controller. Existing devices can be upgraded to firmware version 2.06, while new units have been delivered with the marking V8.0 and the firmware already installed. To use the new functions, the device must be programmed with ETS application version 5.1.

Extended dimming functions

The update introduces new options for lighting control:
• RGB with separate brightness: In addition to the classic 3-byte telegram for colour and saturation, brightness can now be sent separately as a 1-byte telegram. This configuration is particularly suitable for DALI colour lighting in combination with the new JUNG KNX DALI-2 Gateway Colour 1-gang and 2-gang.
• HSV dimming: The new HSV object type enables more precise colour control. Even when saturation is reduced to 0 % (white light), the original colour information is retained and automatically restored when saturation increases. The JUNG KNX LED Controller 5-gang supports HSV control, making it the ideal companion to LS TOUCH.
• RGBW dimming: For LED strips with additional white LEDs, the update adds suitable control logic. Reducing saturation dims the coloured LEDs while increasing the white LEDs – at 0 % saturation, only the white LEDs are active.

New shading options

The channel function for roller shutters, awnings and blinds can now also operate without positioning. Via an ETS parameter, the position control can be disabled so that operation – as with push-buttons – takes place exclusively via short and long commands using the „+“ and „–“ controls.

Scene extension with memory function

LS TOUCH can trigger scenes stored in actuators – and now, thanks to the update, it can also store them. A new control field appears on the detail page, sending a save telegram. This gives LS TOUCH the same functionality as a scene extension with memory, comparable to JUNG push-buttons.

Enhanced value transmitter function

The value transmitter channel function now includes direct adjustment on the favourites level. Values can be increased or decreased simply by tapping, without opening the detail page. The step size is defined in ETS; automatic wrap-around to the maximum or minimum value is also possible.

Optimised frost and heat protection

When frost/heat protection mode is active, LS TOUCH prevents unnecessary heating or cooling. The update now allows separate frost and heat protection temperatures to be defined independently from the minimum and maximum setpoint temperatures – for more precise climate control.

Variable setpoint increments

On the favourites level, the temperature adjustment increment can now be set flexibly in ETS between 0.1 K and 2 K. On the detail page, the step size remains fixed at ± 0.1 K.

Additional device languages

The update adds two new device languages – Korean and Chinese. After downloading the application, all system texts are displayed in the selected language. Important: for these language variants, the corresponding device version must be ordered to ensure the character sets are available in memory.

Conclusion

With Function Update 2.0, JUNG takes LS TOUCH to the next level. New dimming and shading functions, expanded scene and value control options, and additional comfort parameters significantly increase flexibility. The update strengthens LS TOUCH’s position as a universal, intuitively operated room controller for modern KNX systems – easy to update, powerful, and future-proof.
