Holistic secure operation

KNX Secure is the innovative solution for ensuring security and data protection in buildings. It is important that every control point, every actuator and every sensor in the building supports KNX Secure so that there are no weak points in the network. Even during operation. JUNG offers secure push-buttons and room controllers.

JUNG offers control points with KNX Secure for operating the functions in the building. These include the KNX push-button F 50, which impresses with its large labelling field. It can be updated using the ETS Service App and is therefore absolutely future-proof. KNX F 50 push-buttons with Secure encryption are available immediately. JUNG is also presenting new KNX room controllers with KNX Secure.

Secure protection
Regardless of the medium, KNX IP Secure encrypts and authenticates all telegrams at network level. The transmitted data is absolutely secure. This means that communication between sensor and actuator in the IP network can neither be interpreted nor manipulated. KNX IP Secure is the first manufacturer-independent security solution that is recognised as an international security standard in accordance with the EN ISO 22510 standard. KNX Data Secure additionally encrypts the data on the bus line (twisted pair) or via wireless communication (RF). KNX Secure prevents attack scenarios such as telegram recordings, telegram repetitions (replay attack) or modifications (man-in-the-middle attack).

Put KNX Secure into operation:
Secure, quick and easy thanks to innovative apps
To make a KNX installation secure, specialist installers and system integrators need the device certificates for the individual KNX Secure components. They must be integrated into the ETS and are therefore printed directly on the JUNG devices as a QR code. Time-consuming and error-prone typing of the device certificates is no longer necessary with the JUNG Secure Apps.

JUNG KNX Secure Scanner
With the new smartphone app, JUNG closes the trade interface between installer, distribution contractor and system integrator: Installers simply scan the QR codes and the secure keys appear in the app as a list view. With JUNG KNX Secure Scanner, they create a protected certificate list or forward the secure keys in a password-protected PDF. JUNG KNX Secure Scanner is available free of charge in the app stores.

JUNG KNX Secure Key Loader
The exported certificate list can be easily transferred to the ETS with the JUNG KNX Secure Key Loader ETS app and thus integrated into the project. Several certificate lists can be merged in the project so that, for example, the project planning can be implemented in parallel with the progress of the project. This extension is available via the KNX Association app shop (my.knx.org) and is linked to the ETS dongle. It is installed via the app menu in the ETS main menu.

KNX Service App
KNX devices can be conveniently maintained with the JUNG KNX Service App. The extension for the ETS makes it possible to import new firmware or an update into a component - for example, to implement new functions in the field. In addition, older firmware versions can be transferred to existing devices (e.g. in the event of a device replacement). The ETS programming interface is used to programme the firmware and all KNX media are supported: Twisted Pair, IP and RF.
