ABB’s new KNX Blind / Roller Shutter Actuator portfolio streamlines shading and climate control solutions and enables cost savings during commissioning while enhancing security and comfort.

The main advantages include easy commissioning and advanced security features. This is achieved via a simplified ETS application. Time is saved during parameterization thanks to the availability of a template functionality. Through KNX Data Secure the highest standards in data protection are ensured to avoid unauthorized access to the KNX system.

Besides the updated KNX Blind / Roller Shutter Actuators (JRA/S), ABBs shading control portfolio ​includes a Shutter Control Unit (JSB/S 1.1) that adjusts the blinds according to the position of the sun. ​The integration of weather data is an integral part of building automation, enabling significant improvements in energy efficiency that can reduce building operating costs over the long term. For that purpose, ABB offers a Weather Sensor (WES/A 4.1.1) which measures wind speed, rain, brightness, twilight and temperature.
