Avio Manager is a software toolkit developed by AV Stumpfl which introduces a completely new workflow for home and building automation projects: All devices, KNX group addresses and user interfaces of an installation visualise their data points in a well-organised way and can be connected with each other by dragging graphical lines between them. The new RGBWL-K (reference DM480440) is a 4-channel controller for controlling RGB, RGBW or any other low voltage (10 – 24 V DC) LED strip modules. It allows each output to be controlled independently to regulate four monochrome channels or all channels simultaneously for RGB and RGBW applications. It is able to select a particular colour using a colour selector and to modify the brightness of the chosen colour or of each channel individually. This device also allows the programming of scenes and sequences and also has an advanced logic unit with eight blocks of operations including logic, comparison and arithmetic operations as well as timer blocks and counters.
The new DMXBUS-K is the renovated and bidirectional communication gateway between the KNX protocol and the DMX 512 protocol. This device allows you to regulate each channel supported by the DMX protocol, being easily programmable through the project software ETS. Thanks to this gateway it is possible to develop the integration of a DMX device or system into a KNX home automation installation, and individually regulate each DMX channel in a simple way like any other KNX dimmer. The new Busch-Presence detector Corridor KNX is especially designed for use in hallways and long corridors. The detector reaches a detection range of up to 30 metres. This single device covers areas which previously required several detectors to be used. Its extra-flat design blends seamlessly into the existing room design. With the integrated room temperature controller, the premium version of the Busch-Presence detector Corridor KNX can additionally regulate heating and cooling. Moreover, constant lighting control as well as two power off stages can be implemented. The detector can also be set to programming mode via the infrared remote control.

XD100 KNX detector with a compact and unobtrusive design is ideal for interior rooms such as medium- to large-sized offices, corridors, classrooms, car parks, conference and meeting rooms. The detector is available in two models; PD100 presence detector, MD100 motion detector. Both models have flush-mounted and surface-mounted versions. XD100 has three independent channels; presence, lighting (up to four lighting groups) and HVAC. The constant lighting function can be applied with two different setpoints related to the presence information (e. g. during presence: 500 lux, during absence: 100 lux). The KNX B8-TH is a compact interface that fits into any switch box. Via eight binary inputs, for example, contacts for windows or push buttons for dimming, switching or up / down movement are integrated into the KNX system. Wall sensors for 55 mm switch series and a feed probe connected to special inputs provide values for the internal ambient and ventilation control of the interface. The room temperature and air humidity are thus recorded. If required, the surface temperature of a heating / cooling system is also measured and the dew point is monitored.
Salva KNX is a smoke detector tested according to DIN EN 14604:2005/AC:2008 with sensors for temperature, humidity and air pressure. Smoke is detected optically by the scattered light principle. Temperature variations are taken into account and the contamination of the chamber is monitored. Alarm is output locally/acoustically and also as bus telegram. Salva KNX can report smoke and act as a heat alarm. The unit carries out a self-test regularly and indicates faults locally and via the bus. In daily operation, Salva KNX is an ambient climate sensor which controls heating/ cooling and ventilation. Other useful built-in features are, for example, the dew point calculation, logic gates and calculator modules.

Embedded Systems prepared a useful tool which can strongly extend ETS functionality and can be useful for any KNX professional. It is a free, online KNX project file parser. You can get a list of devices, their relations and visualise topology. You can also get metadata and filtering table with group addresses. This data can be exported directly into Excel via CSV or to Cloud (Microsoft Azure, AWS and others). This service will be expanded with new modules for preparing project documentation, labelling, visualisation and so on.

Due to its internal clock, the SmartMeter can even record all the values with a correct time stamp, if no KNX bus is connected. Therefore the device can also be used as a standalone data logger to record the power supply quality and energy consumption or generation, without the need for any software configuration. In this mode, all the measurement values are recorded at each minute on an SD card in the CSV text format.

The dimmer with LED constant current can drive the LED directly, has four independent channels and two independent outputs. The output current of each channel can be set via the linked switch button and can produce 350 mA / 700 mA or 700 mA / 1 A. When the output current exceeds the rated current of the load, the load will probably burn out and cannot use a 700 mA output to drive 350 mA LED. In the case of a full load, if all LED are 350 mA, the dimmer can output eight fold, but if some LED are 700 mA or 1 A, it cannot output eight fold in certain configurations and the LED cannot reach the expected brightness value.

The New LC-A0816 is a multi-function 8-channel actuator, programmable with ETS to perform different tasks like switching loads, open and close shutters and blinds, drive valves operating in PWM and control two or four pipe fan coils. With the new KNX Gateway, the powerful multi-user audio system from Revox becomes part of the primary building automation system. Using the KNX Gateway, the Revox multi-user system can be controlled via KNX and vice-versa. The KNX Gateway has a powerful ETS database that can be downloaded from the Revox website. In the standard configuration the gateway operates a maximum of ten rooms with up to 50 commands each including feedback. The Gateway is housed in a 2 HP wide built-in enclosure. It can be operated with PoE, 12 –2 4 V AC or 12 – 30 V DC and is connected to the KNX system with a two-core cable.
The KNX LED dimmer 80120 is used for 1 – 4 colour 24 V DC LED lighting strips and has an integrated power supply for up to 100 W. The intelligent load identification system distributes the total channel output depending on the occupancy. The new KNX push buttons are available with two, four, six, or eight button surfaces, which are arranged vertically and can be used in pairs or as individual button surfaces. The device provides extensive functions including switching and dimming (absolute or relative), lightscene control, blind and shutter control and room thermostat control which are freely configurable with ETS to any button. The push buttons fit in 55 mm systems with direct connection to the KNX bus and are powered by the KNX bus.
The SR-KNX9501FA is a DIN rail mounted LED dimmer with four independent output channels and KNX bus connection terminal to connect to KNX. The input voltage range is DC 12 V – 36 V, and each of the four channels can output 5 A with a total combined output current of 20 A. Designed with short-circuit protection, overvoltage and overtemperature protection, the dimmer features great safety and reliability. With the new application program “000131” for line and backbone coupler N 140/_3, it is now possible with ETS4/5 to set the “filter” function for the Main Groups 16 to 31, also for devices that have already been installed. The Group Address based communication on the KNX bus can thus be optimised. Additionally, the new blocking function of individually addressed telegrams provides increased protection against sabotage. If the transmission of these telegrams is blocked at the Line Coupler e. g. from main line to the line, then the commissioning of these devices is only possible within the line. The described function is also available for IP router N 146/02.

The pureKNX switch is a touch switch and complements the pureKNX series of tci. Across the series it represents the simple but clear operating concept: four button areas in the corners, a touch area in the centre and a control ring, for dimming or setting the room temperature. Memo KNX can manage events depending on time and geographical position. These devices have two relays to control the door lock, a courtesy light, or for other uses. With two inputs for connecting On/Off electrical equipment (for example to control the switch for opening and closing the door, a magnetic contact for signalling windows are open or closed, ceiling pull alarm, etc.) they are supplied with a front panel with four LED, each one associated to an icon for signalling a state.
The new power units for bus systems are equipped with a decoupling coil and an auxiliary output. This provides a voltage of 30 V DC that can be used to connect an additional bus line via a decoupling coil. The power units are self-protected against short circuits (thanks to a voltage and current regulator) and ensure a power supply even in the event of brief mains failures provided they do not exceed 200 ms. It is recommended to always have a safety switch for the electric power supply circuit of devices 01500.2 and 01501.2.
