17 Industry Leaders to Drive Global Strategy, Simplicity, Innovation and Sustainable Energy Management
At its Executive Board Meeting on 16 February 2026, KNX Association confirmed the new composition of its Executive Board (KEB). The Executive Board defines the strategic direction and sets the technical and commercial priorities of KNX Association. It represents more than 500 KNX Members and supports the interests of over 140,000 KNX Partners active in 190 countries worldwide. Several new members have been appointed, reinforcing the Board’s expertise and international perspective. At the same time, the current leadership team – President Jean-Christophe Krieger (Schneider Electric) and Vice President Klaus Wächter (Siemens Switzerland) – will continue their mandates. Executive Board members are elected for a five-year term.
President Jean-Christophe Krieger expressed his appreciation for the renewed confidence: “I am extremely proud that the new KEB members have reaffirmed their trust in me by electing me as President for the next five years, alongside Klaus as our Vice President. I look forward to continuing this exciting journey, dedicating my time, energy, and passion to strengthening the KNX ecosystem, advocating for decarbonisation, and driving greater simplicity and innovation for stakeholders across the entire value chain.”
Vice President Klaus Wächter also welcomed his re-election and highlighted the importance of the coming years: “I will remain fully committed to strengthening and further advancing both the KNX standard and the KNX Association. Energy management is a strong example of how KNX, even after more than 30 years, continues to evolve and stays closely aligned with market demands. The momentum in this field is clear, and the coming months are expected to bring significant developments.”
The KNX Executive Board now comprises 17 members, expanded from 14, bringing together senior leaders from internationally recognised companies in the building automation sector. As KNX Association’s central strategic body, it shapes the long-term direction of KNX, oversees global initiatives, and ensures that the standard continues to meet evolving market needs. With its combined technical, commercial and strategic expertise, the Board further strengthens KNX’s position as the world’s leading open standard for smart home and smart building automation.
