JUNG: Intelligent lighting control in KNX

The JUNG KNX DALI-2 Gateway Colour is the central link between KNX and DALI. It acts as an intelligent translator, converting the complex KNX commands into a language understood by DALI and vice versa. This means that not only individual luminaires, but also entire lighting groups can be precisely controlled and monitored via the KNX system. 

With the new KNX DALI-2 Gateway Colour, DALI-2 luminaires can be managed more efficiently than ever before. One of the most important features is the support of up to six addressing types, enabling detailed group lighting control as well as control of individually addressed luminaires. This is particularly useful for large spaces such as offices, exhibition areas and training rooms where individual lighting control is required. 

In addition, the JUNG KNX DALI-2 Gateway Colour features advanced colour control options. It supports Tunable White and RGBW Colour Control, allowing users to precisely set the colour temperature and colour of luminaires. In addition, the gateway enables the implementation of Human Centric Lighting (HCL) and Colour Transition Modes (CTM). These features simulate natural lighting conditions, which can have a positive effect on health and productivity.

The new gateway also enables the creation of scenes, schedules and automations to tailor the lighting to specific requirements. The gateway can monitor the status of the luminaire and send feedback to the KNX system, enabling real-time monitoring and faster fault diagnosis. Thanks to KNX Data Secure, the new JUNG KNX DALI Gateway Colour is secure and can be updated via the ETS Service app. Available in 1-gang and 2-gang.

• Bidirectional communication: The gateway enables a constant communication between KNX and DALI. Not only can commands be sent to the luminaire, but the current status can also be queried.
• Real-time monitoring: The status of each individual luminaire is continuously reported to the KNX bus. This means that the status of the lighting can be viewed at any time and any faults are quickly identified.
• Flexible control: Dimming, switching or adjusting the light colour of individual luminaires - almost all functions are possible with the gateway.
• Scenes, schedules and automation: Individual lighting scenes for different occasions are no problem and they can be activated automatically at specific times or depending on other factors such as sunlight or presence.
• Security and future-proofing: Thanks to KNX Data Secure, the system is protected against unauthorised access. In addition, the firmware and configuration of the gateway can be updated at any time.
