News from KNX Standard

New KNX Specifications, version 2.0 now available !

During the summer holidays, KNX proudly released the new overhauled version of the KNX specifications, version 2.0. This was the first major release since 2004.

Between 2004 and summer of 2009, a lot of new features had been added to the KNX standard (KNXnet/IP, KNX FTP, second generation KNX RF, extension to KNX Easy Installation Mode, KNX Application Specifications, …), but all of them in the form of Supplements and Application Notes. After several man years of hard integration work, the KNX specifications version 2.0 constitutes a version in which all the previous separate supplements and application notes were integrated into the body text. This version should be a major improvement and help for KNX newcomers during development of a new KNX solution.

In the mean while, the new version should already have reached the desk of the representatives of the KNX members.
