Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovación
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

The main reason for implementing KNX in this school project is its ability to integrate multiple building functions into a single, reliable, and scalable system. With KNX, we were able to create a smart environment that improves energy efficiency by managing lighting, HVAC, and shading according to occupancy and daylight conditions. This not only reduces operational costs but also supports sustainability goals. The system enhances safety by providing centralized monitoring and automated emergency controls, while at the same time ensuring comfort for students and staff through intelligent climate and lighting management. Thanks to KNX’s open standard and support from numerous manufacturers, the solution was designed to be cost-effective, future-proof, and adaptable to the school’s evolving needs. This guarantees long-term value by combining efficiency, safety, and user comfort in one integrated smart system
