Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Descripción de los clientes

Thon Hotel Kristiansund is a business hotel located in the bay of Kristiansund, with a great view to Kristiansund centre. The hotel has 91 rooms of various sizes, spread over 5 floors, to accommodate each guest's needs. Each room has it's own bathroom with floor heating (water) and the room itself has a radiator for heating. Variable control of air flow makes sure the guest has fresh and comfortable air, regulated through needs based on presence and temperature. The corridors have DALI lighting, through a KNX gateway, controlled by presence detection. This allows to dim down the lights in the corridor when not occupied and then dim them up during occupancy.
