Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
In this project, we achieved several firsts with KNX. We integrated it with the building’s central heating system heat pumps, automating heating and cooling season transitions. The Fermax intercom was connected to a single iPad running Basalte visualization. A unique addition was embedding cameras into ultra-small security sensors, combining video and security in one seamless KNX solution.
A motorized TV mount was also integrated, allowing the screen to automatically turn toward the person sitting on the sofa for the perfect viewing angle. The newly released KNX-integrated Basalte remote control lets the client manage not only Netflix and YouTube but the entire smart home with a few button presses from the sofa.
Additionally, the Velux wireless Thread protocol was used to control the terrace pergola, its louvers, heaters, and lighting. Audio was integrated via the Cobranet protocol with Basalte speakers, creating a cozy atmosphere in the bathrooms and living room.
