Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Burdock Hotel By Marriott is located in Karaköy, Istanbul. The project has 100 hotel rooms on 7 floors, Reception, Bars and Restaurant on the ground floor, meeting rooms, management rooms, Turkish bath, spa and fitness center on the basement floors. With the KNX system throughout the building, lighting is on/off and Mitsubishi air conditioning is controlled in the rooms. It was designed as Hotel Marriott and was built according to Marriott standards. KNX system is equipped with the latest technology and integrated with other systems. With the imaging software, hotel technical personnel can monitor and change the occupied/empty status of the rooms, room air conditioning temperatures, lighting status of corridors and halls, and lighting of all areas such as Restaurants, Bars, Meeting Rooms, Spa, Fitness Center. Additionally, scenarios can be made and time can be assigned. Local controls can also be provided via Touch Panels in Restaurants, Bars, Spas and Meeting Rooms.
