Description détaillée
Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation
Innovation
Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients
On this project Neil McCarry was able to specify equipment that he knows well and would meet the needs of the client. He says: “We try to only use products that we have used in our demo room or in our own homes. KNX has been our default building management product for over 20 years, so that is always the first item on the spec. The client and their designer were looking for a very contemporary switch design and we recommended Ekinex for their stylish look and of course technically they offer a fantastic range of parameters. The back end' kit, switch actuators, dimmers, input modules etc. were a mix of Theben and Jung and for heating actuators our 'go to' brand Theben. Using multiple manufacturers on the KNX platform is not a problem and we know that the devices will all 'work' with each other.
Combining KNX with URC products for Total Control again works seamlessly and is always guaranteed to produce an enjoyable user experience.
