Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Description des clients

The apartment is located in Spianada in Corfu old town, Greece. The purpose of the KNX system integration was the achievement of an energy efficient residence that provides high degrees of comfort and a high aesthetic result. Light control through light scenes resolves the issue for having multiple switches to control each individual light load and makes the interaction a lot easier. Presence detectors operate lighting in corridors when it is dark and switch off lights and HVAC systems when rooms are unoccupied increasing comfort and energy efficiency. Poor water quality has led to the installation a custom RO treatment plant which is fully controlled using ABB ABA/S logic controller. The same controller controls the heat pump and HVAC system in general. Integration of Doorbird's door station provides access control through the KNX system.
