Energy Efficiency

The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Smart homes and buildings are always an upgrade in comparison to a conventional installation. Not only automated functions and a higher level of comfort contribute to a higher living standard, but also the possibility to be ready for coming innovations. Thanks to the usage of KNX, the door has been opened to integrate new innovative solutions, using the worldwide STANDARD for home and building control.

Description des clients

The project is installed in an appartment in Ag. Ioannis area of Heraklion-Crete. This project has about 50 different light circuits where 40 of them are dimmable. Because of the complicity of the lights we have created scenes that make it easier for the owners of the house to control. We have scenes like welcome, goodbye, goodnight, TV, etc. We also have two zones for the heating so as to have different setpoint for the common areas and the bedrooms, for energy efficiency and comfort. The hat is controlled with PID-PWM function for the best efficiency. The heating is also implimented in the scenes to change automatic its mode. We also control the awnings. We use the weather station and depending the position of the sun we lower the awnings so as to prevent the heat to insert the house in the summer and the opposite in the winter. We also have wind safety for the event of strong wind so as not to destroy the awnings.
