Energy Efficiency
The usage of automated functions already save energy in every installation. Especially the usage of KNX has a lot of potential for further energy savings, which can contribute to a better environmental footprint. Be extending KNX to more functions and applications, energy savings of up to 60% can be realised. Thanks to the flexibility of KNX, these functions can easily be implemented in this installation

Customers Description
This was a refurbishment project which included two historic buildings, one of them an XV-century castle by the shore.
There was a faulty Domintel system which we replaced by a full KNX system using the existing cabling infrastructure. Another challenge was the wall boxes that were installed for the domintel system, Italian style, and so we had to choose between KNX manufacturers' wall keypads and thermostats that could fit in those boxes avoiding that way any related construction works that could damage the building and de-characterize it.
The main requirements were the system simplicity, as this building is used as a second home and receives a lot of guests, and the command aesthetics to match this historic monument.
As this is a complex topology building another benefit from KNX was the bab-tech server which we used to deliver a super easy user interface.
In the future, the customer wants to conclude the home cinema and include it in the system.
