MDT Motion Detector 2.2 m TS 55

The new MDT Motion Detector 2.2 m TS 55 has been specially designed for wall mounting in passageways, corridors, and door areas, and developed for reliable detection of movement in these locations. Thanks to its slim design, it integrates discreetly into the design of common 55 mm switch ranges from leading manufacturers, while delivering precise sensor performance and comprehensive KNX functionality. 

The specially designed lens provides a 170° detection angle with a range of up to 11 metres. Two sensors ensure reliable motion detection. The direction of movement can also be evaluated – for example, to switch off lights automatically when people leave a room. 

The trigger sensitivity can be individually adjusted for day, night, and presence modes – allowing flexible use in various environments. Two lighting channels enable independent control of separate lighting groups. Additionally, there is an HVAC channel with adjustable monitoring windows and a separately configurable alarm/notification channel. 

An integrated short-term presence function allows the delay time to be shortened for brief movements – ideal for rooms with frequent passing traffic. The MDT motion detector also offers extensive logic functions, scene control for up to eight scenes, and master/slave operation. 

Operation can be set flexibly to full, semi, or manual modes – either automatically or via an external push-button input. A built-in temperature sensor measures room temperature and transmits the data via the KNX bus for further use, e.g., for heating or climate control. 

The motion detector is available in matte pure white, glossy pure white, and matte black. It is compatible with the switch ranges of leading manufacturers. Installation is performed directly into a standard flush-mounted switch box. The appropriate mounting frame is included.
