iETS Servers 1.3 :: Description
iETS Server is an KNX/EIB interface component in the form of software.
It allows iETS clients (such as ETS 3) to connect to the KNX/EIB network
As a part of its ANubis initiative for internet ("IP") connectivity, the EIB Association has developed the iETS concept. With iETS, the person who is technically responsible for an KNX/EIB installation may use the familiar ETS project tools to access the system remotely, via internet or a direct dial-in link. He or she can then perform remote diagnostics and maintenance actions from the office.
To make this happen, you just need to be sure that you have the iETS (also called IP (EIBLib)) clients licensed. (e.g. comes with the 'full' package of "ETS 3 Professional".
On the site which is to be accessed, some counterpart must be available to which your iETS client can link up. For this, EIBA proposes the iETS Server component for Windows PC's.
Other server platforms and embedded hardware solutions are available from EIBA member companies.
