KNX Association has partnership agreements with more than 70 technical universities and high schools all around the globe, within its scientific partner programme

 

 

The purpose of this partnership is to establish communication and a mutual information exchange amongst universities, institutes of technology and/or research bodies and members of KNX Association in order :

• to channel KNX information from KNX Association and its members to the scientific partners. and information on pertinent educative and research initiatives from the partners to KNX Association and its members.
• to support and enhance the relevant training and education of students.
• to organise and manage conferences and/or workshops as an important part of the communication means for this Forum.

              to guarantee the appropriate protection of exchanged know-how as well as the protection of the KNX trademark and the integrity of the KNX Certification System.

 

This partnership will enable KNX Association and its members to support KNX research and education.

 

Each year around the month of October, KNX Association will organise the yearly Scientific Conference in cooperation with one of the Scientific members.
These events are well attended by both industry as well as delegates from universities and institutes of technology.

 

Furthermore KNX Association will organise, every 2 years, within this scientific partnership the KNX Award for the best KNX thesis, to support the promotion of excellence.

 

In 2004 KNX Association has established a new web forum, where ideas for projects can be posted by KNX scientific partners, KNX industrial members and the KNX Central Secretariat.
In this way, it is hoped to better :

• coordinate (student) projects at scientific partners
• prepare contributions to the annual KNX Scientific conference.
