[Translate to Sweden:] The Marketing Board (KMB) defines the strategy for marketing and communication on the association and the KNX Standard.
Under the umbrella of KMB, work is organised in the following workgroups and Task Forces :

Workgroups

WG-1. Components and Software

 

Convenor Ulrich Fiedler - ST Microelectronics. The group consists of representatives from KNX member companies offering OEM KNX system components and KNX development kits. The target audience of the communication and marketing defined by this working group is product management and development departments of KNX members or potential members.

 

WG-2. Product Manufactures and Installers

 

Convenor Patrick Meyer – Hager Electro SA. The target audience of the communication and marketing defined by this working group is the professional (electrical and HVAC) installation market.

 

WG-3. Utilities and Services

 

The target audience of the communication and marketing defined by this working group is any type of service providers.

 

WG-4. Household appliances and End users

 

The target audience of the communication and marketing defined by this working group are vendors of loose goods (e.g. household appliances) and end users.

 

Taskforces

Next to the four above "horizontally " Working Groups, following the work of the Task Force Vision, six additional "vertically oriented" Task Forces were founded. The output of these task forces is relevant for the communication and marketing of any of the above working groups.

 

TF-1. Marcom

 

Convenor Wouter van den Bos – KNX Association
The main objective of this Task Force is to steamine the corporate image of the association used during communication, both by the central organisation as well as by any founded KNX national group

 

TF-2. Residential Buildings

 

Convenor Gunde Nilsson – Schneider Electric AB.
The main objective of this Task Force is the development and implementation of a corporate strategy to enter the Residential Buildings Market with solutions based on the open standard KNX.

 

TF-3. Application Range

 

Convenor _NN_ - KNX Association.
The main objective of this Task Force lies in the definition of measures to propagate the use of the KNX standard in new application domains.

 

TF-4. Strategic Marketing

 

Convenor Christian Knorr – Siemens AG.
The main objective of this Task Force lies in the observation of technology trends and market needs in order to strengthen the position of the KNX standard.

 

TF 5. Organisation

 

Convenor Patrick Meyer – Hager Electro SA
The main objective of this Task Force is to define and implement processes (ISO 9001) within the Association, with the aim to have a slim but efficient organisation to execute its mission.

 

TF-6. National Groups

 

Convenor_NN_ - KNX Association.
The main objective of this Task Force is to encourage the creation of national Groups worldwide as multipliers in the communication chain towards their releavant national Markets.
