Falcon - Price & Ordering

The price info given on this page is for information only.
KNX Association reserves the right to modify prices without prior warning.
In case of differences, the price mentioned in the KNX Pro Forma invoice always applies.
Please contact sales(at)knx.org for the most up-to-date prices.
In addition to the prices below the following fees have to be paid per invoice:
- Service fee = 15 €
  Via Registration you gain free access to first level of "product handling or licensing support" by KNX Association for all the licenses on the invoice. You may submit your questions concerning Falcon in German, English, Dutch and French via the KNX Web Support.
- VAT = 21%
  If you do not have a valid European VAT number, 21% VAT must be charged according to the Belgian VAT law.
- Outside Europe express sending: dongles sent outside Europe have to be shipped express. Therefore an additional fee of 35 Euro will be charged (except for orders exceeding 5 dongles).

Price / Licensing

Falcon is always licensed through a license key.

Falcon is available in four flavors, based on two criteria:
1. IP:
  - 'Single IP': one connection
  - 'Unlimited IP': unlimited number of concurrent connections
1. License:
  - one license (dongle-based)
  - 'Flat' license

Falcon Single IP	license key dongle	€ 200,-	With this license it's possible to create Windows applications that can connect to a KNX-network using: RS232: 8 concurrent connections USB: unlimited concurrent connections IP: one connection This license is based on a dongle, which means that only one computer at a time can license these Falcon-based applications. The required dongle is not included in the price, € 50/dongle. It's possible to license your already registered KNX dongle from another KNX tool (e.g. ETS), € 200/license.
Falcon Single IP - Flat	license key	€ 5000,-	With this license it's possible to create Windows applications that can connect to a KNX-network using: RS232: 8 concurrent connections USB: unlimited concurrent connections IP: one connection These Falcon-based applications can however be installed on any computer without any further technical requirements. These Falcon-based applications can be distributed to your customers without any further legal obligation.
Falcon Unlimited IP	license key dongle	€ 500,-	With this license it's possible to create Windows applications that can connect to a KNX-network using: RS232: 8 concurrent connections USB: unlimited concurrent connections IP: unlimited concurrent connections This license is based on a dongle, which means that only one computer at a time can license these Falcon-based applications. How to use a Falcon License Key / Deploy your Falcon-based application ?

The Falcon License Key needs to be compiled, please check this example.

In order to make your Falcon-based applications distributable, you need to include Falcon Runtime in the set-up file (install). More details to be found in the Falcon help file, which will be installed together with Falcon. Falcon (SDK), Falcon Runtime and other resources are to be found on the Falcon download page.

Please note: in case of dongle-based license, it's necessary to install the dongle driver.

Installation from CD-ROM

You can request a free CD-ROM simply by clicking this link. After reception of your CD you simply have to install the software.
Download the full version from our web site

You can also find the full version of the tool (and possible updates) at this link.

After installation either from CD or web, you simply have to follow a procedure to request your key. In the case of an independant package (Dongle) do not forget to indicate it in your request. You can find the procedure described here.
