Introduction

For KNX installations, in which predominantly S-Mode type products are used or in the case where E- or A-Mode installations are extended with S-Mode products, a thorough insight in the Engineering Tool Software (TM) (for further info see www.ets3.com) is indispensable.

In order to ensure a minimum qualification level of all persons operating the ETS software throughout the world, the legacy association EIBA drew up a number of requirements for institutions seeking the approval of the certificates they issue for their training courses around ETS.  Approval here signifies that the certificates are accepted as basis for becoming “KNX Partner” (see advantages).

KNX Association now operates this Certification Scheme for Training Centres.

Priviliges / Benefits

What are the privileges without ISO 9001 Certification ?

• right to use the KNX / EIB logo
• price for purchase of ETS 3 Professional licenses: 1/3 of the normal price (sales(at)konnex.org)
• right to hand out certificates to students after successful exam.  When purchasing an ETS 3 Professional License within 6 months after the exam date, the student gets a 125 Euro reduction on the ETS 3 Professional sales price.
• right to receive training documentation in electronic form

What are the additional privileges with ISO 9001 Certification ?

• price for purchase of ETS 3 Professional licenses : 1/4 of the normal price (sales(at)konnex.org)

What’s the advantage for the installer who has attended a course ?

KNX Association offers those companies that acquired the necessary KNX know-how by having their staff participate in training at a certified training centre, the possibility to become KNX-partner.  In order to become a partner one should attend a basic course at one of the certified training centres.  When one passes the theoretical and practical exam (min. 50%), a certificate is granted.  By returning the partnership-form together with a copy of the certificate to Mr. Unal (fax: +32 675 50 28) you will receive a confirmation of the right to use the KNX-partner logo.

Moreover, your company will be integrated in an international Training Centres database that can be consulted via the KNX web pages.
