    1.   Status of the International Standardisation

    The EN 50090-2-3 ‘General functional safety requirements for products intended to be integrated in Home and Building Electronic Systems’ was approved at ISO/IEC level as ISO/IEC 14762.

    2.   News from KNX Standard

    Version 2.0 of the KNX Specifications is nearing completion. KNX Members have the possibility to already access the updated documents via their KNX FTP Server account (section KNX System Extensions/Updated Documents).

    14.312 KNX Partners in 83 countries:

     

    KNX Association is really proud to announce that the KNX Community of installers, i.e. the KNX Partners, has increased more than 20% in one year and - what is more important - these partners come from 83 countries worldwide. This is yet another step towards establishing of KNX as the Worldwide Standard for Home and Building Control. The KNX community is growing on a daily basis: Be part of it!

    8.   New KNX Training Documentation

    The updated Basic/Tutor Course Documentation as well as the new Advanced Course Documentation is now available. Prices have been significantly reduced to encourage installers and non-certified KNX training centres to purchase the KNX training documentation. The Basic Course Documentation (with successful concluding exam) is the basis for KNX Partnership. These courses are organised by more than 120 Certified KNX Training Centres around the world.

    9.   KNX Website

    12 national groups now present all KNX information (on e.g. the KNX System, Standard, Partners, Tools, News, etc.) in their local languages. Besides the ones added last year; the website from KNX China, Croatia and Austria are now online.

    14.   ETS Manufacturer Tool

    KNX Association has released an update of KNX ETS3 manufacturer tool (workspace), version 3.0.5044.19743 for ETS3.0f (build 990).

    1. Please inform your development departments about this update.
    2. Via ftp.knx.org (KNX FTP server) the update can be downloaded. Please follow the “ReadMe.mht” instructions in the root folder. A summary of the major changes (release notes) is included as PDF file the setup folder.
    3. The necessary (company) login credentials to access the KNX FTP server were given to you (by email) on buying your first manufacturer tool. If not known anymore please contact sales(at)knx.org

    Note: You must have a valid license to run the manufacturer tool workspace.
